sometimes we can get so full of ourselves. quilting for those who are in less fortunate circumstances than myself helps me to stay focused on the right things in life. but having this broken hand . . . . well it is a daily challenge to remind myself that it's not all about me:) here is a video that i hope will inspire you as it has me to keep things in perspective . . . .
Dear Kristine! Thank you for that! As you say it is very inspirational. ...... don't be shocked now ...... but for me ...... you are too! God bless you and may His presence give you peace and joy. Valerie xx

the children's book entitled, "the quilt maker's gift," by jeff brumbeau and gail de marcken, is a delightful story about a mythical quiltmaker who makes beautiful quilts -- but only for the poor and homeless. and like the quiltmaker in this story, i too make my quilts only for those less fortunate. as a Christ-follower and a quiltmaker it is my hope that the quilts that i make for the widow, the orphan, the aged, and the poor and homeless will result in warmed hearts and changed lives. sooo, if you or a group that you belong to would like to join me in this adventure, please contact me and we will see how you can join in!! -- kristine pappas
